Following our announcement earlier this year in August that we won a contract with the Port of Tyne to provide an environmental monitoring solution to support operational decision making across the Port’s jurisdiction.

The project at the Port involves installation of new monitoring equipment as well as integration with a suit of existing sensors to deliver ongoing, accurate and reliable, real-time tide and weather data.
The Port of Tyne is one of UK’s most innovative and efficient deep-sea ports and is continually investing in improving and extending their facilities and technologies. OceanWise will be supporting their operations by installing the environmental monitoring platform Port-Log, which is widely used by many ports and harbours across the UK and overseas. The system will enable access to key real-time data and customised alerts for port operators and pilots, ensuring they are kept abreast of the dynamic tide and environmental conditions in the port.
