Keynote address at HydroSEA 2018

Our MD, Dr Mike Osborne, was invited to present a keynote address at the Hydrography Southeast Asia (HydroSEA) 2018 conference. The presentation focused on ‘Data Management to Hydrography’ and recognised that hydrographers have been managing data for a long time, since the first sounding was taken, or chart compiled, but that recently data management has become a topical issue due to digitalisation, increasing user expectations and data volumes, and the use of autonomous systems. The presentation suggested solutions to these challenges, including a different way of thinking about data, and introduced some latest developments, including highlighting those presented throughout the conference.
